Ye'kwana edit

Pronunciation edit

Verb edit

ejö

  1. (intransitive, agentive) to come

Usage notes edit

This verb takes an irregular suffix that replaces its final vowel instead of the ordinary recent/distant past perfective suffix -i. Similarly, the plural form of the same suffix is -oto rather than -icho.

The imperative form is also irregular: singular ö'kö'de, plural ö'tökö.
