equidistance (usually uncountable, plural equidistances)

  1. (countable, uncountable) Equal distance.
    • 1862, Henry Mayhew, John Binny, The Criminal Prisons of London, and Scenes of Prison Life, page 308:
The men are ranged so as to form three sides of a square, and stand three deep, each prisoner being three yards from his fellow. This equidistance gives them the appearance of chess-men set out on a board.
