From fitta (pussy) +‎ stim (school (of fish)). Made widely known through an anecdote told by trade unionist Stig Malm in 1992 that involved a taxi driver using the word, which made its way to the media. Originally of the women's wing of the Swedish Social Democratic Party as well as feminists generally.
