Noun edit

flipism (uncountable)

  1. A pseudophilosophy under which all decisions are made at random, as if by flipping a coin.
    • 1961, Harold J. Mahoney, Thelburn Laroy Engle, Points for decision, page 318:
You flip three times, but maybe that is still placing too much responsibility on the penny. You decide to flip it a hundred times, five hundred, a thousand. You have become a victim of flipism, and you still haven't solved your conflict frustration.
