This saying supposedly originates in the province of Savo. Therefore, often when someone raises a toast with hölökyn kölökyn, it is answered in Savo dialect with hölökynpä kölökyn. To that, the first person responds, hölökynpä hyvinnii kölökyn. It might be loosely translated into colloquial American English as "Down the hatch!" -- "Yup, down the hatch!" - "For sure, down the hatch indeed!"
