- (botany) potentilla (plant of the genus Potentilla consisting of more than 300 species)
- Synonym: sormihanhikki
- More generally, a plant in the closely related genera Potentilla, Argentina, Dasiphora, Drymocallis and Sibbaldiopsis.
Usage notes edit
- Many of the plants in the genus Potentilla are commonly called cinquefoils in English, but also names five fingers and silverweed are used. Some species are called tormentils and barren strawberries.
