- insegnamento refers to the process in which a pupil is methodically taught the principles and methods of a discipline, art, profession, etc. educazione instead refers to a person's moral and intellectual development, and more specifically, the behaviors and principles of social interaction, rules for communication, etc. In this context, a precetto is defined as a particular rule of conduct or codified social norm.
