iskä
Finnish edit
Etymology edit
From isä. Possibly formed according to the model provided by slang or some other children's words in which -ka/-kä and -kka/-kkä are sometimes used to modify the standard language terms, for example: voimistelu (“gymnastics”) > voikka, maisteri (“master, teacher”) > maikka, stadion (“stadium”) > stadika, NMKY (“YMCA”) > namika. There is also äiti (“mother”) > äiskä.
