Etymology
Noun
kluuviflada
- (geography) gloe, slough: bayou (Louisiana) (a shallow body of brackish water or a saltmarsh that has formerly been a bay of a larger body of water, usually sea, but which has been separated from it due to postglacial upthrust, growth of vegetation at the inlet or some other reason. Typically a kluuviflada has no catchment basin of any significance, and it gets new water only through direct precipitation or from the sea when the sea water level is high.)
