Polish edit

Etymology edit

From lekko (light) + atletyka (athletics). The word lekko is used as once light and heavy athletics were distinguished as two different categories. The light sports were all track and field disciplines, while heavy were weightlifting, wrestling and occasionally boxing. Nowadays, the difference is hardly used.
