myller
Middle English edit
Noun edit
myller
- Alternative form of mylnere
Swedish edit
Noun edit
myller n
- a large, disordered (moving) mass of humans, animals, or things, a swarm, a hive
Usage notes edit
- The immediate intuition is of a moving mass, but a myller of for example streets or flowers doesn't sound off either, especially not for a disordered mass.
- Close synonym of vimmel, which is often of larger, less flimsy things, including people (though myller can also be, with a looser/"swarmier" feel).
