Etymology

From Javanese ꦥꦫꦩꦱꦱ꧀ꦠꦿ (paramasastra, “grammar”), probably calque of Dutch spraakkunst, from Old Javanese parama (“finest”) +‎ śāstra, from Sanskrit परम (parama, “finest”) +‎ शास्त्र (śāstra).
