Usage notes

Originally this noun was feminine in all senses, but in modern Catalan, the sense of planet is now masculine, taking masculine articles and adjectives, but the plural is still formed as if it were feminine. Thus uns planetes are planets, while unes planetes are destinies, such as those that might be determined astrologically by the planets.
