prechart (plural precharts)

  1. (computing) Part of a chart that must be traversed with a successful outcome in order for the main chart to have a successful outcome.

      A careful examination of the issue of violating an LSC before its prechart completes raises the following question: why not try to violate all precharts as soon as possible, thus minimizing the set of constraints imposed on the execution.
