- (propose): when followed by another verb, must be followed either by di and an infinitive or che and the subjunctive form, as in mi hanno proposto di andare al cinema con loro or mi hanno proposto che io vada al cinema con loro ("they proposed [to me] that I go to the movie theater with them").
