      Dannemeyer's spokesperson for the initiative, Bret Barbary, said the initiative would also: permit physicians to notify third parties at risk of infection; eliminate the requirement that physicians obtain written consent for HIV testing; mandate reportability to public health officials; make it a crime to donate blood if the donor knows he or she is HIV-positive; and repeal the prohibitions on insurance companies from testing for AIDS.
