From Proto-Albanian *ratsa, from *rat(i)tsa, from pre-Albanian *róth₂iḱom, diminutive of Proto-Indo-European *Hrot-h₂-ó- (wheel), from *Hret- (to roll) (compare Lithuanian rãtas, German Rad).[1] Plural formation of rrath.
