From Old Czech sieci, from Proto-Slavic *sěťi, from Proto-Indo-European *sek- (to cut).

Pronunciation edit

Verb edit

síci impf

  1. Alternative form of síct
    1. to mow
    2. to reap

The past participle sekl isn't normally used in imperfective meaning but rather as the past participle of imperfective seknout. This verb síci and its forms are usually interchangeable with those of sekat with the infinitive sekat being more common.
