therapeutist (plural therapeutists)

Someone who studies, works with, or uses therapeutics; a therapist.

  Gavaret mathematically demonstrated in 1839 the increase of body-heat when the febricant shivers with cold, and its precedence of some hours before the chill, by which signs the therapeutist is warned in time to administer the antidote.
