1. wrongly (incorrectly)

   Hän vastasi väärin.

   She answered incorrectly.

   Minä vastasin vääremmin kuin Anne.

   I answered more incorrectly than Anne.

   Minä vastasin väärimmin.

   I answered most incorrectly.

2. wrongly (in a morally wrong way)

   Hän teki väärin päättäessään olla antamatta hyväntekeväisyyteen.

   She did the wrong thing deciding not to give to charity.

3. (of a view, opinion, answer) Only used in olla väärin (to be incorrect, not correspond to reality)

   Hänen vastauksensa oli väärin.

   Her answer was incorrect.

Usage notes

• The superlatives oikein and väärin are rarely appropriate, because right and wrong are often understood as absolutes, and because of the homonymy with much more frequently used adverbs. People tend to circumvent them by saying eniten väärä, lähinnä oikeaa and eniten oikea, choosing another adjective if available (e.g. kiero, oikeanpuoleinen, oikeellinen) or using kaikista as a determiner.
