From ਬਾਘੜ (bāghaṛ, “wild”) (see also ਬਾਘੜ ਬਿੱਲਾ (bāghaṛ billā, “jungle/wild cat”))) / ਬਾਘ (bāgh, “tiger; lion”), from Prakrit [script needed] (vaggha), from Sanskrit व्याघ्र (vyāghrá).
