From Sanskrit परिपूरण (paripūraṇa, “accomplishing; perfecting; rendering complete”), from परि (pari, “about; around”) + पूरण (pūraṇa, “completing; filling; fulfilling”); possibly via Old Khmer *paripūrṇa, paripūrṇna, paripūra, parihaʼapanā, parapurṇa, parapūrna, parapūra, parapū, pararpū (“complete; entire; full; whole; perfect; etc”).
