Rüstung
German edit
Etymology edit
16th century, from rüsten + -ung. Old High German had hrust (“armour”), but this was ousted in Middle High German by different lexemes such as panzier, harnasch. Old High German hrustunga is morphologically identical but had a general meaning of “installation, trappings” and remained without continuation.
