      Ὁ δὲ βόνασος γίνεται μὲν ἐν τῇ Παοιονία ἐν τῷ ὄρει τῷ Μεσσαπίῳ, δ’ ὁρίζει τὴν Παοιονικὴν και τὴν Μαιδικὴν χώραν, καλοῦι δ’ αὐτὸν οἱ Παίονες μόναπον.
      Ho dè bónasos gínetai mèn en têi Paoionía en tôi órei tôi Messapíōi, d’ horízei tḕn Paoionikḕn kai tḕn Maidikḕn khṓran, kaloûi d’ autòn hoi Paíones mónapon.
      The bison is found in Paeonia on Mount Messapius, which separates Paeonia from Maedia. The Paeonians call it μόναπος.
