Etymology edit

Inherited from Middle Armenian *ազնաւուր (*aznawur) (attested as a given name Ազնաւուր (Aznawur)), from Old Anatolian Turkish ازناور (aznavur), from Middle Georgian აზნაური (aznauri). The form ազնավոր (aznavor) is reshaped under the influence of -ավոր (-avor). The form անձնահուր (anjnahur) is reshaped under the influence of անձ (anj).
