Possibly from Proto-Kartvelian *ṭq̇wi-. Akin to Mingrelian ტყვია (ṭq̇via), Svan ტყუ̂ი (ṭq̇ûi), ტყუ̂იჲ (ṭq̇ûiy).[1]
