Usage notes edit

The distinction between 大気圏 (taikiken) and 大気 (taiki) is that taikiken refers more specifically to the atmospheric area around a planet (the area between a solid or liquid surface and the outermost extent of the gaseous envelope), whereas taiki refers more to the gas or air itself.
