Sino-Korean word from 配達, an orthographic borrowing from Japanese 配達(はいたつ) (haitatsu, delivery; distribution).

  • Phonetic hangul: [(ː)/(ː)]
    • Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
