Etymology edit
여우 (yeou, “fox”) + 비 (bi, “rain”), probably from an ancient legend in which a cloud loving a fox cried sadly when the fox was going to get married. Also refer to synonymous Japanese 狐の嫁入り (kitsune no yomeiri, literally “the marriage of the fox”).
