  1. alternative form of (-i, noun forming suffix) used for words ending with the vowel а (a).
    мардона (mardona, manly, masculine) + ‎-гӣ (-gi) → ‎мардонагӣ (mardonagi, masculinity)
    бараҳна (barahna, nude) + ‎-гӣ (-gi) → ‎бараҳнагӣ (barahnagi, nudity)
  2. (not productive) alternative form of (-i, adjective forming suffix) used for words ending with the vowel а (a).
    хона (xona, home) + ‎-гӣ (-gi) → ‎хонагӣ (xonagi, domestic)

Usage notes

  • Only used to form nouns, with most formed-adjectives using (-i) irregardless of the final vowel. Only a small number of exceptional adjectives use -гӣ (-gi).
