Arabic form-I verbs with their past vowel i (فَعِلَ (faʕila)) and their non-past vowel a (يَفْعَلُ (yafʕalu)). In both cases, the vowel in question is the last vowel in the stem, which varies from verb to verb. This is a common pattern for stative verbs but sometimes is also used for non-stative verbs.
