Agama sinaita wikispecies Agama sinaita

العربية: حرذون سينائيّ، من الأردن. هذه الزواحف شائعة الوجود في الصحاري المحيطة بالبحر الأحمر خصوصًا. خلال موسم التناسل، يتحوَّل لون الذكور إلى الأزرق الفاقع حتى تجتذب الاناث.
English: Agama sinaita, Jordan. This species is common in deserts around the shores of the Red Sea. While in heat, the male turns striking blue to attract females.
עברית: חרדון סיני, ירדן.

מין זה נפוץ במדינות השוכנות לחופי ים סוף ושלוחותיו. בישראל הוא נפוץ באזורים סלעיים בנגב, בערבה ובבקעת ים המלח. שמו המדעי ניתן לו מאחר וזוהה לראשונה בחצי האי סיני.

בעת הייחום צבעו של הזכר הופך כחול עז והוא נעמד על סלע בולט כדי למשוך נקבות.
