For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Banque Ga-Qu 3.6.1964 Vorbereitung Frauenkongreß Ingeborg Palm - Delegierte des Stadtbezirks Berlin-Treptow. "Alle Frauen der DDR sollten die Möglichkeiten der Qualifizierung, die unser Staat ihnen gibt, nutzen, es lohnt sich." Die sagte Ingeborg Palm (unser Bild), stellvertretende Vorsitzende des DFD-Kreisvorstandes in Berlin-Treptow und Delegierte zum Frauenkongreß der DDR in einem Pressegespräch. "Mavchmal ist es nicht einfach, der Arbeit, dem Studium und der gesellschaftlichen Tätigkeit gerecht zu werden, aber aus eigener Erfahrung kann ich sagen, man kann es schaffen, wenn man selbst den festen Willen dazu hat." Die 40jährige, seit 1949 Mitglied der NDPD, begann ihre berufliche Tätigkeit als Buchhalterin. 1954 besuchte sie die Parteischule der NDPD in Waldsieversdorf. 1959 gab ihr ihre Partei die Möglichkeit, ein Fernstudium der Geschichte an der Berliner-Humboldt-Universität aufzunehmen, das sie im Januar 1964 als Diplom-Historikerin beendete.
