日本語: 紙本著色／一面　平安時代後期・12世紀　　縦21.8cm　横48.2cm　　五島美術館蔵『源氏物語』第３８帖「鈴虫」の二番目の場面。月見の宴に招かれた光源氏が、弟の冷泉院（実は源氏と継母藤壺との不義の子）と対座し語り合う。右上の群青の空と銀の満月が夜を象徴する。天井を取り去り室内を表現する「吹抜屋台」の技法で描く。

English: Color by paper book / one side, late Heian period, 12th century, length 21.8 cm, width 48.2 cm, Gotoh Museum collection The second scene of "The Tale of Genji" 38th book "Suzumushi". Hikaru Genji, who was invited to the moon-viewing party, confronts and talks with his younger brother Reizei-in (actually, the unrighteous child of Genji and his stepmother, Lady Fujitsubo). The ultramarine sky on the upper right and the silver full moon symbolize the night. The ceiling is removed and the interior is expressed using the technique of "Fukinuki yatai".
