The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
Reasons: Not really a term. Not even a compound word. Just two independent words put together. --หมวดซาโต้ (talk) 17:10, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
- Is Thai normally written with spaces between words? —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 17:40, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
- No. Thai is scriptio continua. --หมวดซาโต้ (talk) 19:26, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
- In that case, delete. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 21:53, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

I would consider this an intransitive form of "to drive". When in English an abstract verb "drive" is used, then in some languages the form "drive vehicle" is used. Compare identical Chinese 開車/开车 (kāichē) or Vietnamese lái xe terms. Both are included in dictionaries. Keep but I'd like to see more opinions.--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 13:58, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
- It is just a sum-of-part. If it can be included, then similar expressions might also be included, such as "ขับเรือ" (to sail a boat), "ขับเครื่องบิน" (to fly an airplane), "ขับยานอวกาศ" (to propel a spacecraft), "ขับวัว" (to ride a cow), "ขับควาย" (to ride a buffalo), "ขับอูฐ" (to ride a camel), "ขับรถเก๋ง" (to drive a sedan car), "ขับตุ๊กตุ๊ก" (to drive an auto rickshaw), "ขับรถเครื่อง" (to drive a motorcycle), etc. --หมวดซาโต้ (talk) 04:20, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- Another argument is that other words get derived from ขับรถ. E.g. นักขับรถ (nák kàp rót, “driver”) (-er (agent prefix)+drive+vehicle). --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:51, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, but there is no such term as นักขับรถ. Thai words for "driver" are คนขับ (kon-kàp), พลขับ (pon-lá-kàp), สารถี (sǎa-rá-tǐi), etc. --หมวดซาโต้ (talk) 03:12, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
- @หมวดซาโต้ Would you consider กินข้าว (gin-kâao) or ทานข้าว (taan-kâao) "to eat (a meal)" SoP's as well? The Chinese analog is 吃飯/吃饭 (chīfàn), the Vietnamese ăn cơm. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 04:07, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- I suggest deletion. --Octahedron80 (talk) 05:27, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
