Etymology and meaning edit

This edit: "* In Italian, 'Frati Francescani dell'Atonement' becomes in Latin Congregatio Fratrum Adunationis Tertii Regularis Ordinis Sancti Francisci, in English Franciscan Friars of the Atonement." was deleted in good faith. I wanted to make the link to the Latin translation of the English word. Wakari07 (talk) 18:07, 25 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia says that "atonement" first meant "at-one-ment". Not sure if this is a folk etymology of the word or the real deal. 140.254.226.233 15:38, 18 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
