According to some Rastafari[25] and other scholars, the etymology of the word "cannabis" and similar terms in all the languages of the Near East may be traced to the Hebrew "qaneh bosm" קנה-בשם, (see article Rastafari movment) Possibly worth mentioning in etymology section? "No idea" edit

Hash is just a concentrated form; marijuana is a Spanish slang word used in the US (no-one uses this term in the UK or Netherlands, for example, except maybe jokingly/mockingly). Cannabis is the drug as well as the Latin name of the plant. Honestly the person who wrote that cannabis is "one of various drugs such as hash or marijuana" really has no idea about cannabis. 109.176.159.13 20:19, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

French pronunciation edit

From several french news reports, they seem to always pronounce cannabis like in english with the 's': 'kanabis'. But the pronounciation quide in the article says otherwise: 'kanabi', which i dont think is correct. 142.119.9.163 20:34, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
