Rfv-sense: (US, idiomatic, derogatory, ethnic slur, colloquial, dated) Describing a black person.

I don't think the cite supports the definition, nor that other cites can by found to support the definition. "Cotton-picking" is a general purpose, sometimes pejorative intensifier. In this quotation, it might be taken as literal or to indicate a "field" Negro, rather than a "house" Negro. DCDuring TALK 04:09, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
