I've moved 83.31.47.39's comment (another form: bereft of gorm) here. It didn't fit the guidelines and I suppose that the etymology of the word (gorm + less) makes it quite clear that it means bereft of gorm without having to actually spell it out again. 'Nevertheless' (which is the only other root+less compound I found ) does not seem to do so, although arguably it's because of a different compositional structure. --62.57.5.4 13:11, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)

- I believe it's used in the UK, maybe Ireland too. I've definitely heard it enough times but not used it myself here in Aus. — Hippietrail 08:42, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)
