Spanish meaning

Hoping some Spanish speakers could help explain the use of this in several Spanish books as I do not read it. Some examples:

• 1889 José Ramón Abad, "La Republica dominicana: Reseña general geografico-estadistic" page 74:

  Tecome Pentaphilia

• 1996 Corporación Venezolana de Fomento, "Monografías Económicas Estadales, Issues 20-21" page 121:

  el apamate (Tabebuia pentaphilia)

Guessing part of some scientific names. Not sure what distinctions of Tecome v Tabebuia refer to. ScratchMarshall (talk) 05:47, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

@ScratchMarshall, I figured it out. They are misspellings of pentaphylla (Tabebuia heterophylla). — Ungoliant ^(falai) 16:15, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
