Questionable sense: “A person from the north side of Cork city, Ireland.” Rod (A. Smith) 02:12, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

According to http://www.thesraid.com/?p=88 (which I can't vouch for at all, but doesn't look like it's trying to promulgate protologisms), sham is Cork slang for “young male / hard man or knacker”. —RuakhTALK 02:22, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm about 50 miles from Cork city, have relatives there on the north side, and they only refer to themselves, (and get referred to) as norries. Sham might exist, but if so it is either recent or very obscure.--Dmol 17:31, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
