This is a monolingual Latvian dictionary containing Latvian definitions of Latvian words and more. I admit that the identification of this dictionary is poor. At the bottom of the page, it says "Vārdnīcu sastādījis Andrejs Spektors", which Google translate renders as "Dictionary compiled by Andrey Spektor", plausibly enough. Below that, it says "Mākslīgā intelekta laboratorija, 2009–2016". On the page for "valoda", the following are identified as sources: "Avoti: LLVV, VsV, NeV", where "avoti" is renders as "sources" by Google translate, plausibly enough.

I would actually prefer to be able to link to LLVV (Latviešu literārās valodas vārdnīca, http://tezaurs.lv/llvv/) and MLVV (Mūsdienu latviešu valodas vārdnīca, http://www.tezaurs.lv/mlvv) since these appear to be traditionally made and published dictionaries. However, I can only link to them via URLs with IDs, and furthermore, since their design uses frames, the page shown only shows content and not the identification of the source of the content. To get an idea, the URLs for "valoda" are http://tezaurs.lv/llvv/show.jsp?pid=koauoseGxb and http://www.tezaurs.lv/mlvv/show.jsp?id=42215. The number of entries in these dictionaries is LLVV: 64 200 and MLVV: 44 760 per the pages.

Thus, it seems this less than perfectly identified dictionary is good enough for a first verification, and since it is easy to link to specific entries without ID, seems to be the first choice as an external link to add value to the reader of the English Wiktionary. This dictionary also contains inflection in some entries, visible when you click at the + sign to the right of Morfoloģija section. --Dan Polansky (talk) 15:30, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Is there reasoning behind the initialism in this templates name? There were 2 stray quotes in the markup of the template (now I can't remember if that was some template markup hack involving stray quotes so I left them.) P.S. AILab is a subsidiary of Latvijas Universitāte. Neitrāls vārds (talk) 23:03, 11 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
