- My relevant reasoning was: If Old English in Old English is "Anglisc", and Old Portuguese in Old Portuguese is "portugueese", then both codes "ang" and "roa-ptg" make sense because they fit the original names of the languages. I also thought about creating a code that would fit all three major names simultaneously: portugueese, Old Portuguese and Galician-Portuguese. --Daniel. 12:17, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

- Per a recent RFM, the code has indeed been changed to roa-opt. - -sche (discuss) 07:28, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
