Hey CodeCat, I saw the trans. table at gull was a bit of a mess (some languages weren't using {{t}} et al.) so I fixed it up. However, I came across two problems. First, there are "Low Saxon" translations there and that category is deleted with you saying it's moved to Low German. Problem is, there are Low German translations in the entry too, and they're not the same. Second, there is a "Sami" translation and Sami is apparently a family not a single language. 50 Xylophone Players talk 16:09, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
I think that the translations listed as 'Low Saxon' are just certain dialects of Low German, specifically those from Lower Saxony. So you could either add them to the existing list of Low German words, or make a sub-item like we do for Chinese for example. I'm not sure which would be better, but you could ask in the Beer Parlour.
Northern Sami is the most widespread Sami language (and not surprisingly it's the only one with a two-letter code), so people often refer to it as just 'Sami' in the same way that people refer to West Frisian as just 'Frisian'. I looked around and báiski is indeed the Northern Sami word for a gull: w:se:Báiski.
