Cf. eye dialect. That the Han script is highly graphical lends readily to the ability of drawing pictures with poems. I do not mean the depiction of imagery with words; I mean literally the arrangement of graphical design elements, their regularity, duplication, symmetry, dualism, etc., and sometimes the spontaneous breaking thereof.
- 王歙為和親之侯，班超為定遠之使。馬武無預於甲兵，馮唐不論於將帥。 (Yu Xin. Clearly deliberate.)
- 申包胥之頓地，碎之以首；蔡威公之淚盡，加之以血。 (ibid., not in exactly regular slot-pairs)
- 殿狎江鷗，宮鳴野雉。湛盧去國，艅艎失水。 (ibid., scattered, possibly deliberately irregular slots)
- 望赤岸而霑衣 (ibid., the 土 - 干 shape-rotation in 180 degrees), and the next in the couplet:
- 艤烏江而不度 (ibid., series of dots, 90-degree rotation)
- 蔑因親於教愛，忍和樂於彎弧。 (ibid., very nice compositionally but a bit contrived)
- 熾火兮焚旗，貞風兮害蠱。 (ibid., chiastic and mirror-symmetric slot-positions)
- 硎阱-摺拉 (ibid., 开 in 硎 approximately correspond to 井 in 阱) See also next in the couplet:

- 冤霜夏零，憤泉秋沸。 (ibid, following the previous couplet)
- 水毒秦涇，山高趙陘。 (ibid., approximate. Of course *阜高 would have been too weird even for Yu Xin.)

- 水何澹澹 - 山島竦峙 (Cao Cao, chiastic and mirror-symmetric slot-positions)

- 指蓬壺而翻翰 - 望崑閬而揚音 (Bao Zhao, nice and natural)
- 輕攏慢捻抹復挑 (Bai Juyi)
- 天涯霜雪霽寒霄 (Du Fu)
- 無邊落木蕭蕭下，不盡長江滾滾來。 (Du Fu)
- 旌斾 逶迤 碣石 間 (Gao Shi)
- 校尉羽書飛瀚海，單于獵火照狼山。 (ibid. One of my favourite.)
"Lesser" forms:
- 微風吹閨闥 - 羅帷自飄颺 (Traditional Yuefu)
- 歲崢嶸而愁暮，心惆悵而哀離。 (Bao Zhao, not very representative, as it draws simply from ideophonic vocabulary, but the dualism in positional parallelism is still kinda significant)
- 邊庭飄颻那可度，絕域蒼茫更何有。 (Gao Shi)
- 寰中簫管不曾聞，筵上犧牲無處覓。 (Wei Zhuang, similar effect to the above but not ideophonic)
- 樓閣玲瓏五雲起，其中綽約多仙子。 (Bai Juyi., with ideophonic components)
