• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
• Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
• Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
• Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) which automatically produces your username and timestamp.
• You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage to indicate your self-assessed knowledge of languages.

Norwegian Bokmål entries

Hiya!

I see in your contributions that you have added some stuff for Norwegian Bokmål over the years, I suspect you don't actually know the language, so instead I invite you to add words to Wiktionary:Requested entries (Norwegian), as you've made plenty of basic mistakes. These are just some I've found by looking at your latest contributions, pretty much every single one of them has at least one mistake.

- snil, this is a misspelling of snill, so I have requested its deletion.

- In these entries, you have used the wrong inflection/conjugation template, creating a bunch of forms which either do not exist or are just wrong: redsel, vedkomme, oppslag, hvelving, befeste, ætling, gjengjelde, tilfreds, omsorgsfull, oppvurdere, etc. Thank you! I see. I actually know the language and have been studying it for a couple years.Still have a few things to learn it seems.Thanks for your corrections, do you mind explaning what inflexions do not really exist and what are wrong in the entries I made/edited? Thank you.

No problem - it's my native language but I still always check Bokmålsordboka before creating an entry, to make sure I get all the correct forms. I will go through all of those entries and update them, so if you have them in your watchlist you can keep an eye out for them. Supevan (talk) 07:40, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Cool, thank you. It's nice to see norwegian gaining some traction here, for years it felt like there were not much people besided me editing and adding new entries.
