Doesn't really need to be plural friendly. Not sure if Estonian nouns have principal parts as such, but the only reason I put mehed on mees is so I wouldn't forget they were connected :) Eventually, I don't care if only "mees" is in the headline, but I don't think we currently have declension templates for Estonian. — [ R·I·C ] Laurent — 02:29, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Can you point me at evidence that the plural of (deprecated template usage) nizol is (deprecated template usage) nizoi rather than (deprecated template usage) nizoli. I must admit that I can't find either plural on a Google search, but, in searching for the plural of (deprecated template usage) barcarol I can find both (deprecated template usage) barcaroli and (deprecated template usage) barcaroi.

The entry in http://www.dizsionario.org/ looks like this:- "barcarol [var.BARCARIOL,BARCARÓŁO] m.reg.chius. [pl.reg.,-i; reg.chius. barcarułi] barcaiuolo". So maybe "barcaroli" is the plural of the variant spelling "barcarolo". What is your understanding of the matter? SemperBlotto 17:16, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

ja-kanjitab

Please input only one kanji per parameter of {{ja-kanjitab}}. The code {{ja-kanjitab|固|有|名詞}}, which you introduced in this edit[1], is wrong.

That template is a a list of kanjis, not of etymological roots. I don't know whether {{ko-hanjatab}} follows strictly the same rule. --Daniel 17:40, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

• Since the introduction of Lua, {{ja-kanjitab}} has changed a bit :). The template now automatically parses out the kanji from the page title. Deleting categories

Using the "edit summary" of some page to ask questions to me is not a good idea, because I may not even notice that. Nonetheless, I noticed this time. Now to the answer. Basically...

• Administrators delete pages by clicking on "Delete".
• Non-administrators add {{delete}} to a page to be deleted, and wait for administrators to finish the job. --Daniel 05:55, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Low German alternative forms.

Helloho. You edited fördęm and added vördęm as an alternative form. As far as I can see, there are not so many Low German editors on Wiktionary so far, but I would prefer if the pages would only give those forms as "alternative forms" which have a different pronunciation. One could think about adding the Dutch form even if it has the same pronunciation to show that it is the same language in more than one country. But due to the total lack of a standard orthography, noting every other spelling (and of every form) could fill a page with several dozens of forms, which I would find disadvantageous for a dictionary.(overview) Hence, at least until a greater mass of authors appears which strongly vote for something else, it would be nice if we could keep it as common practice, if alternative forms were those with different pronunciation and alternative-spelling-ofs would only link to the standard page.Dakhart 16:06, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

I have spied you going through some of my entries and adding categories. I usually don't bother with this, largely because I can't remember what categories exist, but I think at least the broader kinds of category are useful (a traditional dictionary can't answer "what kinds of dog are there?"), so thanks for that. Part of speech templates

Thanks for your edit of i kpa mo pɛ. As is probably obvious, I don't (yet) know much about templates and categories, so have been trying to learn more by disecting your edit. Am I correct that the ada-phrase template automatically puts the entry into Category:Adangme phases without me specifically adding it? Do all the other part-of-speech templates do similarly? How would I know this by looking at the template code? Is there a central resource which I can read to find how the code syntax works? Thanks, --Enginear 21:14, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

{{ada-phrase}} does put the entry into the Adangme phrases category. {{en-noun}} puts an entry into the English nouns category, for example, as does {{en-verb}} into the English verbs category. They overcome the template {{infl}}. Examples of categories for topics are Category:en:Hair, Category:en:Face, Category:en:Sleep, Category:en:Mammals, Category:en:Greek mythology, etc. As for the code syntax central resource, I wish I could answer that, but I'm thinking there are others who can do that well.
