Yair rand for admin edit

  • Nomination: I hereby nominate Yair rand as a local English Wiktionary Administrator. He does great entry work, as well as great vandal-fighting work, and he would use the tools to their fullest potential. I believe that he has the correct temperment to become an administrator, and overall, I think he would be a great administrator. Razorflame 07:24, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Vote starts: 08:04, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
  • Vote ends: 24:00, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
  • Acceptance: I accept, but I still intend to use the delete template except where I am absolutely certain, as I have made multiple mistakes regarding whether an entry should be deleted before.
    • Languages: en, eo-1, he-1
    • Timezone: UTC-5

  7.   Support cautiously. He'll be our third admin-Jew after msh210 and Ruakh. I suspect they are conspiring to take over Wiktionary. --Vahagn Petrosyan 22:29, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  8.   Support EncycloPetey 22:31, 22 November 2009 (UTC) Like Davilla, I have some concerns about the length of time spent editing here, but I'm more inclined to support based on the work I've seen. --EncycloPetey 22:31, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose edit

  1.   Oppose. Certainly this is nothing personal, but this user is still a bit too new to the WM community. DAVilla 06:38, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  2.   Oppose, per DAVilla and that I honestly just haven't seen this user around enough for to be able to support him as an admin yet. However, in due time, maybe. --Neskaya contribstalk? 20:57, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Oppose - Amgine/talk 18:28, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  4.   Oppose. Far too pushy, too disorganised, too many unilateral decisions, too much acting without consensus or real support, in the Vote for a new Wiktionary logo.--Richardb 10:09, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Decision edit

Comment The last 3 supports and last 2 abstains are invalid due to closing time are they not? 50 Xylophone Players talk 19:49, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why? To-day is 2 December, the vote ends in 24:00 and there are 4 more hours left. It is not 00:00 and I thought this is the difference between those two designations, is it not? The uſer hight Bogorm converſation 19:53, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There is no 24:00 is there? If it means 00:00 then yes, that was several hours ago. Mglovesfun (talk) 19:55, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
24:00 can only logically be concluded to be the minute after 23:59 which is unambiguously at the end of today (though I would encourage the use of 23:59 instead) Conrad.Irwin 20:12, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Passes 14–4–3 (77¾%).—msh210 17:15, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
