- (Islam) The call to prayer, which consisted originally of simply four takbirs followed by the statement (أَشْهَدُ أَنْ) لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله ((ʔašhadu ʔan) lā ʔilāha ʔillā llāh).
- If one were to pray alone, then no adhan is needed.
