(zoology) Any therapsid of the suborder Anomodontia.

  Anomodonts are a group of therapsids that evolved in the Late Permian. The dicynodonts are by far the most important anomodonts and were the dominant herbivores of the Late Permian: they were the first truly abundant worldwide herbivores.
